As a day tripper the Cheemaun's arched bottom allows the paddler to move the canoe through the water in a flat or heeled position. For maneuvering in tight places, the Cheemaun has just the right amount of rocker.

The wilderness tripper will feel secure with the Cheemaun's 12 inch depth and large carrying capacity. Weighing in at 60 lbs., the Cheemaun is an easy carry on the portage trails.

For the canoe sailor the Cheemaun flies with it's 44 sq. ft. lateen sail. Steering can be accomplished with either rudder or paddle.
