I use nothing but the finest materials in the construction of my canoes. You have a
choice of mahogany, cherry, sitka spruce, or maple rails. Ribs are select, plain
sawn Northern White Cedar. Planking is also select Northern White Cedar, but quarter
sawn to prevent cupping.You may choose either Ash, Maple, Cherry, or Mahogany for
decks, thwarts, and seats. Seats are hand caned using medium cane. Half ribs are an
option at no additional cost. All fasteners are brass or silicon bronze. The hull
is covered with select grade U.S. duck canvas standard No. 10 weight. The canvas is
filled with oil silica filler. The interior receives a minimum of four coats of
marine spar varnish, and the hull is painted with Interlux marine enamel, your
choice of color. The canoe is finished off with brass stem bands and copper stem
caps.
